Sindhudurg Birds

We went to Sindhudurg in February for a short holiday. This is the post from my mother-in-law on our experience in Sidhudurg. Coco Shambala is where we stayed in Sindhudurg and that place was truly a paradise – calm and serene, interspersed with the sound of waves and the chirping of birds. The villa we stayed in had a swimming pool and we were fortunate to see the birds upclose as they flew in to quench their thirst in the pool. The birds in the villa clearly established the fact that we were visitors to the villa and they were the true dwellers of the place.

Knowing that crows are intelligent birds is one thing; but actually seeing a crow trying to soak a biscuit in the water before eating it was amazing.

The pool was enjoyed by the birds more than us and it was truly delightful to see them enjoy the water.

We also saw a lot of birds in our walks and treks in and around the beaches and in a lake in Malwan called Pat Lake.
