Our first (of hopefully many ) visits to Narsapur. Narsapur is a forest park close to Hyderabad and frequented by many bird watchers. Having researched online, we started our Saturday morning excited to see the birds. The drive to Narsapur was around 90 mins and we started our walk into the forest from the Medalamma temple area.

We had 5 four legged companions in our forest walk, who were extremely friendly, were literally like watch dogs the whole trip and at times they were unfortunately very successful in shooing away the birds.

On our way back, we stopped near the Gummadidala cheruvu. It was a very small lake with few water birds. There was a flock of weaver birds who were building their nests. Seeing these birds weave their nests was truly an amazing experience.
Walking through the forest, listening to the sounds of the birds, identifying them in the foilage, waiting for the perfect photo opportunity – was a saturday morning well spent.
